Good morning from Castaway Cay!

First, sorry for not posting a blog entry yesterday night. We were both very tired and had an early night on Wednesday (getting to bed around 11:00 PM) and sleeping in until 10:30 AM on Thursday.

Yesterday was a VERY busy day. After waking we headed down to Parrot Cay for a Fool lunch which had originally been planned for Lumiere's but had to be changed as they were only serving brunch until 12:00. Parrot Cay was serving a seafood buffett and many of the Fools showed up including us, Robin, Bob, Mel, Chuck, Donna, Nancy, Jazz, Denise, Heather, Erica, Benita, Gina, Mark, and a slew of the kids. The buffett was great and it does seem that Disney is making some additons/changes to some of the various buffett selections around the ship. A good change, I think.

After lunch the we attended the Fools Tequila Tasting in Diversions. Robin, Nancy, Mark, Lynn, Pete, John, Travis and I all had a great time and quickly learned that Lynn has a dir-hard affection for Nacho Cheese Doritos as she drinks tequila, smokes Newports, and munches on a snicker bar. Mel's bra also turned up on one of the Diversions game tables as Mark and Pete had a Drunken Fool Table Hockey Tournament.

After the tasting we all stumbled into the Atrium for the picture that Chuck had organized. It looked as if we were about equal numbers ThreeCircles.net members and *** members. Haven't yet seen the picture in Shutters! Afterwards a group of the Brotherhood headed off to Beer Tasting and a smaller group ventured upstaris to the Cove Cafe for a little quiet time and a few drinks.

Nancy, Travis and I were also afforded the wonderful opportunity of dinning with Captain Tom at Palo's last night. The meal was wonderful and Captain Tom is quite the conversationalist. We found out that he loves Mission: Space and Expedition Everest at Disney but by far his favorite is Soarin'. (He seems to be a bit of a thrill seeker as he also loves Rockin' Roller Coaster!) :>>

He did talk a lot about possible expansion of the fleet and feels that it will probably happen soon with Iger onboard. As do I, he feels that Disney will add ships two at a time rather than one at a time, for financial reasons. He also feels that the ships will be larger than the current Magic and Wonder. The meal laster for a bit over two hours but never felt strained at all. Thanks to all who had a hand in helping to organize this! :D

After dinner we headed back to the room to change and then made it down to Rockin' Bar D where we watched Rich Purpura's show. It was pretty much the same act but was fun none the less and he did mention ThreeCircles.net at the start of the show. He asked us if we were some type of strange "dating service" where we all met! :lalala:

After the 70's show several of us meandered over to Sessions to sit with our new Honorary Fool from the previous night. He was certainly there in all of his glory but Sandra had to talk to his wife about his previous night's performance and thus ruined the evening. As his wife found out, not looking too pleased, he had to return to the room with her. As it turns out, she's an exec with ABC's Diversity unit. 88| Not sure if we'll see him again this cruise or not... XX(

Well, we're not sure what we'll be doing today. The weather is beautiful but also very hot and humid. I want to get as little sun as possible so not sure if we'll venture off the ship much today.

We'll be home early tomorrow but we may head back to Disney after picking up the kids and dropping off the luggage. Going back to Disney seems to help with the PDCD (Post Disney Cruise Depression). Plus a lot of the Fools will still be in town so we'll have some fun companions.

Hope you all are doing well and talk soon!

Pulling away from Cozumel!

:DHello Fools! Jason and Travis reporting from the Cove Cafe as the Disney Magic prepares to set sail from Cozumel, Mexico!

Yesterday evening ended up being one even the Fools can be proude of. As mentioned in my blog yesterday, a small group of the Fools had a gathering at Topsiders for a casual dinner: Travis, Nancy and the girls, Sandra, and myself. The meal was great and quite a lot of fun with Fairy Tale Cuvee for all! (Or at least a sip for Sandra and Nancy.)

After the meal we returned to our stateroom and called Sandra on the phone to see what was next. She wanted to hit the whirlpools and pool to assist with the healing process of her knee so we quickly changed and left a message for Nancy to join us if she wanted.

Once in the hot tub, Sandra decided to take a quick poll of passerbys on the various appearance effects of one Bust Must Plus herbal supplemental that she discovered in Costa Maya. Amazingly, this herb, when taken correctly, can increase your bust size up to 42 inches. Sandra, being the cautious and calm type of woman that she is, went all the way!

Actually, as it turns out, it wasn't the Bust Must at all but rather Sandra sitting on a jet flow from the whirlpool and shooting copious amounts of water and air into her bathing suit top. As the breastual area grew, so too did the number of stares that were directed at us from Signals. 88| Thankfully, before I left on this cruise I purchased an underwater housing for our Nikon point-and-shoot. So, yes, you too will see the amazing visual effects that Sandra unleased on the Disney Magic last night!!!

Nancy also realized an amazing first in her cruise history last night. This was the FIRST time that Nancy has actually used the adult pool and whirlpools on the Magic! She was quite excited, as pictures will show, to finally be free from all social constraints that sometimes come along with being a parent. She was even more surprised when she dove to the bottom of the pool after spotting Mel's bra stuck to the bottom of the pool filter intake valve. (Not to worry! DCL quickly drained and scrubbed the entire adult pool area!) ;D

Later the Fools gathered in Rockin' Bar D for 80's night. There were a LOT of us there: Uncle Chris, Sandra, Gina, Nancy, Travis, Mel, Bob, Mark, and probably a lot more that I can't recall at the moment. Lots of fun had by all and Bob only danced into one wall...

At some point Travis and I migrated to Sessions where Mark, John (Moira's husband), Bob were entertaining a very new friend! I can't do justice to this part of the story so Travis will have to fill you in at a later date but, trust me, it is indeed interesting! :>>

Today we snorkled after a bit of shopping. Got some great underwater pictures and also a "great" sunburn. The whole, "Oh, it's cloudy out so I don't need sunscreen today" theory didn't pan out. Given this fact, if I don't post a blog entry tomorrow, I've probably perished of sun poisoning.

Now for some important announcements:

1. Jock Strap is indeed on this cruise. We have new pictures and will post them upon our return home.

2. We rebooked SOF:PD with no problems. Our original fare of just under $4000 dropped to about $3600. We also received a $250.00 onboard credit and the paid-for gratuities. Jocelyn did this with no problem and was happy to accomodate. I'm sure the 10-Night Fools will be able to rebook under these new incentives without any difficulties.
ht is Pirates In the Caribbean! Talk soon!

The Fools take Costa Maya!

Jason reporting from the Disney Magic's Cove Cafe this Tuesday evening after a day of food, shopping, ruins, and, of course, Fools! :P

As it turns out, Travis and I didn't make it back to Rockin' Bar D last night and instead made it an early night. We enjoyed formal night in Lumiere's and The Golden Mickey's of course! I had really forgotten how well this show was done and very much enjoyed it.

Anyway, by the time we returned to the room and changed we were just too damn tired to go back down to Beat Street. Earlier today Sandra reported that several of the Fools were there and that, believe it or not, Mel's bra turned up in a Dirty Martini at that very bar last evening. Gives new meaning to the name of the drink, I guess... :|

Because of our early evening last night we were up by 7:00 this morning. We decided to head up to Deck 9 and 10 to watch the ship pull into port and grab some time in the whirlpool. Both events were very nice.

As we ate breakfast at Topsiders we noted that the water was actually quite rough with pretty good sized swells. We were not sure we would be able to snorkle due to the conditions and sure enough, the DCL organized snorkle excursions were announced to be cancelled by Andy just a few minutes later.

With the plan out, we scrambled to rethink our activity for the day. We thought we would join Robin's Ruins Tour and jumped on that. As it turns out, it was great fun! Even though we encountered much more liquid sunshine, copious amounts of thick Mexican mud, a couple of scorpions and several of Robin's ex'es, the Fools made up for it!

After the ruins we ran back to the ship to catch the tail end of the buffett in Topsiders before it closed at 2:00 and then headed back out to do some shopping. Sandra and Gina managed to offend the entire city before we again stepped foot on the Magic but they did manage to find some cool trinkets. Not to mention the fact that Sandra may have a new baby on the way! (Pics will follow when we arrive home!) 88|

Several of the Fools have decided on an impromptu dinner at Topsiders this evening so we'll be three for three there by the end of the day. See, even after NINE Disney Cruises we're still finding new things to do! ;)

Hope you all are doing well back home! We miss you all!

Jason

Welcome back to the Magic!

We're currently reporting from the Internet Cafe - Promenade Lounge after having strolled around Deck 10 for a bit. The sun had come back out from the clouds after a little bit of "Liquid Sunshine" earlier this afternoon.

We both slept in a bit this morning and didn't wake up until around 9:00 or so. Just enough time to get ready for Champagne Brunch with the Fools. The group included us, Robin, Mel, Bob (still in his briefs from the night before), Mark, Sandra, Gina, Pappy, and Nancy. Lots of great food, Champagne (Travis and I enjoyed a Tattainger Rose), and conversation. Servers were excellent as is the custom with Palo and the rest of the Disney Magic.

It seems Palo, and the ship in general, has made some changes to their buffett slections. Palo had all new desserts for brunch and, to my dismay, the wonderful Lemon Merangue was not present anylonger! :( The new additions and selections were wonderful though!

Afterwards we headed down to the stateroom for a quick change and then back up to the Rainforest Room where we enjoyed a quiet afternoon. What bliss!

This afternoon we enjoyed Martini Tasting with some of the Fools. Robin, Erica, Benita, Mark, Lynn, Pete, Moira, and Travis and I all had a great time. Just wait until the pics show up on ThreeCircles! :>>

Tonight is Formal Night and The Golden Mickeys. We're in Lumiere's for dinner and then will probably catch Michal Harrison's adult caberet this evening.

I'm happy to say that Mel did indeed find her bra. Somehow it ended up in the intake valve for one of the main ship thrusters. It's a little tattered here and there but no more than when she use to dance, Bob says. ;)

Sandra's knee blew out somewhere around Cuba this afternoon and she doesn't expect a quick recover but she's still dancing so I guess that's what counts!

Till later,
Jason

Castaway Cay - Round 1

Hello all!

Travis and I are reporting from The Cove Cafe after spending an absolutly fabulous day on Castaway Cay! But first, a quick detail of yesterday's activities:

We arrived at the port around 11:30 and quickly spotted some Fools in the terminal. There were actually MANY ThreeCircles.net/Ship of Fools yellow/blue lanyards which was kind of fun to see. :D

Check in went pretty smoothly and we were soon boarding the ship. After a lunch with some of the Fools at Parrot we headed up to the sailaway party. Lots of fun but they have changed it a bit and some of the favorite "old-school" DCL songs were not played. "Hey Baby" being the most noticible.

It seems that August is a time of lots of new contracts and expiring shots for the cruise ship as there are TONS of CMs we've never seen/met before on previous cruises. But, of course, we haven't sailed for nearly a year since SOF.

We had dinner in Animator's Palate and Nancy and the girls are wonderful tablemates. Although, Nancy does have this habit of sapping people's asses as they walk by and screaming "It's going to get hot tonight!"

The ThreeCircles.net pins by Irv are well loved by all! In fact, many people have asked where they can get them and others have remarked they wished they had ordered some.

The new AVTV (Ariel View Television) is quite remarkable. As we were returning from Castaway Cay you could actually make out what they were playing on the screen from the island! B)

The Fools are happy to report that we took the winning prize for the Adult Magic Quest game last night. I think we were the envy of some of the other groups in the room.

Moira is a nut and does indeed fit in exceedingly well with the Fools. ;)

Today at Castaway Cay we did some snorkeling and got quite a few pics with the new underwater housing for the camera. Quite fun!

Well, we're off! Talk soon!
